How to get started

This guide walks you through the first few minutes with Easy OKR: creating your organization, seeding sample data, adding your first objective, inviting your team, and checking in on progress.

1. Create your organization

When you sign up, you'll be asked to create a new organization or join an existing one. If you're the first person from your organization to sign up, create a new organization. If a colleague already set one up, ask them to invite you instead so everyone shares the same workspace.

2. Seed sample data

The first time you open your Dashboard as an admin, Easy OKR offers to set up realistic sample objectives, key results, and a strategy tailored to your business and organization size. It's the fastest way to see how a filled-in workspace looks and works before you enter your own goals. Everything it creates can be edited or deleted afterward, so there's no harm in trying it.

3. Add your first objective

From the OKRs page, click Add Objective. Give it a clear title, choose whether it belongs at the company, team, or individual level, and add one or more key results underneath it. See our guides on writing good objectives and writing good key results for tips.

4. Invite your team

Once your first objective is in place, invite your colleagues so they can add their own goals and start checking in on progress. See how to invite your team.

5. Check in on progress

Easy OKR runs on an ongoing review cadence rather than a rigid quarterly cycle you have to set up in advance. From each key result, submit a quick check-in with an updated value and a short note whenever there's progress to report. See how to run check-ins for a good rhythm, and set your organization's cycle length and check-in reminders under Settings → Cycle Management and Settings → Check-in.
